About Raising The Curtain Foundation
At Raising the Curtain Foundation, our mission is to enrich lives by enhancing the Newhall Family Theatre for the Performing Arts, a vibrant and inclusive venue that serves as a cultural hub for the Santa Clarita Valley. Since our founding in 2018, we have been dedicated to fostering creativity, community engagement, and artistic excellence.
Through our efforts, we aim to support a wide array of performances and programs that inspire and unite members of our community—whether they are artists, students, educators, or audience members. By creating opportunities for local talent to shine and introducing new audiences to the magic of the performing arts, we strive to ensure that the theatre remains a cherished space for generations to come.

Cowboy Family Night
Friday, April 17, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.
Gather the family for a special evening of music and storytelling at the third annual Cowboy Family Night, presented by Raising the Curtain Foundation. Hear campfire stories from award-winning cowboy poet, storyteller, and festival favorite Joe Herrington. Enjoy original Western tunes that transport you to the prairie from singer-songwriter Joni Harms, and experience the realities of working a ranch through the music of Doug Figgs, whose songs range from hard-driving Western numbers with a touch of Southern rock to beautiful ballads. The evening features Western lore, stories of the highs and lows of running a ranch, reflections on the magic of twilight on the horizon, and wholesome, family-friendly music. The night concludes with the ever-popular singalong and fun for all ages. You won’t want to miss this night of jangling spurs, cowboy comedy, beautiful ballads, and tales from prairie campfires. Ticket Type: • General Admission $10 • Youth (ages 12 and under): $5 All proceeds benefit the Raising the Curtain Foundation, supporting the Newhall Family Theatre for the Performing Arts.
